Imposter Party: Word Game

Imposter Party is an offline imposter game for 3 or more players sharing one phone. Everyone sees the same secret word except the impostor. Players give clues, listen for suspicious answers and vote to decide who is the imposter. The goal is to find the imposter, while the player without the word has to blend in and guess the word from the clues.

Each player privately checks their role before passing the phone to the next person. In this spy word game, a useful clue shows knowledge of the word without giving the answer away. The impostor listens, improvises and tries to sound convincing. During discussion, the group compares clues and decides who's the imposter. Voting reveals the roles, and an exposed impostor gets one last chance to guess the secret word.

The pass and play setup makes local multiplayer games possible on one phone, without an internet connection. The format works for 3 player games and larger groups. Two categories are available for free, and settings let players configure group games for friends and family.

For party games with friends at home or on a trip, this spy game runs entirely offline. Like other spy games, each round leaves players weighing clues and wondering who’s the spy.
