It's a very good app for learning Korean. The use of genders and having a distinctly American voice for prompts and narration works very well up until lesson 28 of level 1. There's a point when the American keeps saying, "Time" in conjunction with the Korean speaker, but it's not clear why he's saying it. My guess is that his part is supposed to be part of her explanation, but if that's so, then they should have had the Korean saying, "Time" instead. Other than that, so far so good.

Ok, I'll be honest, I've only tried lesson 1, but I really enjoyed it! I wanted to try pimsleur because of its rep in speaking practice, something other apps underperform in. Unfortunately, I looked at the pricing and oof! it's so ridiculously expensive it's ludicrous. The subscription is monthly and gives you access to all languages at all levels, or you can purchase one level for one language for hundreds of dollars. no in-between. how about an affordable subscription for just one language?

For 20 per month this app delivers almost no value. Basically it is very bad mp3 player. From the website you could buy the mp3s for 90 or so. After paying for several months when you stop the subscription you have nothing, not even the courses that were done. All the lessons finish in a annoying way having with a copyright message. The whole app feels old and I have not seen any changes. For this price you should get a premium service and it is far from being that.
