Although it shows a high variety of quality news articles, the ads are now getting ridiculous. Before I would get an ad every 3-5 articles with only one screen, now I get multi screen ads on EVERY SINGLE ARTICLE. Worse than that, the ads sometimes come on with full volume, other times taking me to the Play store even though I clicked exist. Opera, I understand you need ads to fund, but you have to get it under control Update 2026: the ads are now so bad that I must uninstall

The ad frequency is worse than any other App I have used. It's a 20 second ad every 2 minutes. I don't understand how others can tolerate it. The newspapers relied upon to provide the feeds are mostly tabloid. It is largely slop for the stupified masses.

can't block certain categories. clearly indicated no interest, but keep on coming. In response to devs request: not interested in sports and lifestyle. Removed the 2 from the top list. However, news from both cats keep on popping. Hope this helps redesign the app. Next time, if you want feedback, contact using YOUR valid address, vs. noreply from goog.
