AirCam is a local-network screen preview and video management tool for Android devices. It helps trusted devices on the same Wi-Fi network connect to each other, view a live screen preview, browse local videos, and manage screen recordings saved by the app.
Main features:
- Local Wi-Fi connection: Pair another device with a QR code instead of manually typing the service address and account details.
- WebRTC live preview: View another device's screen on the same Wi-Fi network with low latency.
- Local video browsing: Browse videos stored on this phone and recordings created by the app.
- Screen recording save: When screen capture is enabled by the user, the app can save recordings as local video files.
- Recording file management: Organize recordings by date, then view, play, download, or delete them.
- Browser access: Start the HTTP service and use a browser on the same Wi-Fi network to access the web interface.
- Native remote access: Connect from another Android device inside the app to view WebRTC preview and remote video lists.
- Account authentication: HTTP and remote access use username and password authentication. QR codes can carry connection details for easier pairing.
- Optional remote control: If you enable AirCam's Android Accessibility Service and allow an authorized local-network viewer to control this device, AirCam uses the AccessibilityService API to perform user-requested taps, swipes, long presses, Back, Home, Recent apps, volume actions, screenshots, and other supported system actions. The service is used only for remote control; it does not read or analyze screen text, content from other apps, or accessibility node information. Screen preview and other non-control features remain available without it.
Use cases:
- Use an old phone as a local-network screen preview device.
- View phone recordings or local videos from a computer browser.
- Connect multiple trusted Android devices on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Preview screens during development, demonstrations, or local home-network use.
Privacy and safety:
AirCam does not provide a cloud relay service. Live preview, video browsing, and recording access are designed for devices on the same Wi-Fi network. Permissions such as screen capture, microphone, local video access, camera scanning, and the Android Accessibility Service are used only for related features and require user authorization. The Accessibility Service is used only to perform remote control actions that you initiate; it is not used to read, collect, record, store, upload, or share screen text, content from other apps, accessibility nodes, passwords, payment information, messages, or contacts.
Only use this app with devices and content that you own or are allowed to access. Do not use AirCam for unauthorized monitoring, recording, or access to another person's content.
