NotVPN: Smart VPN & Encryption

NotVPN is a smart VPN with selective encryption. Choose the websites and online services to protect on public Wi-Fi or mobile data, and everything else keeps your normal connection. Need the whole phone covered? Switch on Encrypt all traffic.

How it works
1. Add websites and services to your list on the home screen, or choose them from the full list.
2. Tap Connect VPN.
3. The sites and services you chose are encrypted in any browser or app. Everything else connects directly, as usual.

Selective encryption or a full VPN
• Your list of internet resources: the websites, services and games that should use the VPN.
• The full list: search a large catalogue of popular websites and online services. Can't find one? Send a request from the app and we'll look at adding it.
• Encrypt all traffic: one switch on the home screen turns NotVPN into a full-device VPN whenever you need it.
• Encrypting only what you need can be kinder to your battery than routing every connection through the VPN.

Privacy on public Wi-Fi
• NotVPN uses Android's VpnService to create an encrypted tunnel between your device and our servers.
• Use it on Wi-Fi in cafés, hotels, airports and shopping centres, or on mobile data.
• Websites reached through the VPN see the IP address of a NotVPN server in the country you choose, not your own.
• Pick a country yourself or leave it on Optimal. Search the list, find recent choices and save favourites.

When a network is difficult
• Several VPN protocols. Not connecting on a particular Wi-Fi or mobile network? Tap Test all protocols and choose one that responds.
• Switch on Protocol testing in Advanced Settings: before each connection the app checks your protocol and moves to a working one if it fails.
• Allow local network: your printer, TV and other gadgets at home stay within reach while NotVPN is connected.
• Using Encrypt all traffic? In some regions, local sites such as your bank or government services can still open directly, with one switch in Advanced Settings.
• Background mode helps keep the VPN running when Android's battery saving would stop it.

Free plan or Premium
No subscription? Some locations stay open for free, with a short advert before you connect. The free plan isn't offered in every country.
Premium adds:
• No adverts before connecting
• Every location: 30+ countries
• One-tap connection from the Quick Settings panel, plus Android's Always-on VPN
• Your subscription on your other devices: just sign in with the same email
Eligible users may get a free trial of Premium.

Ready in a minute
• No sign-up on the free plan: open the app, take the one-minute tour and connect.
• Premium asks for an email sign-in with a 4-digit code, no password needed.
• See your active sessions under Account and sign out devices you no longer use. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
• 25 languages, including English, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Bengali, Turkish, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese. Light and dark themes.

Subscriptions
Subscriptions renew automatically through Google Play until cancelled. Cancel anytime in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; Premium stays active until the end of the paid period. If a free trial is offered, cancel before it ends to avoid being charged.
