Land Nav GPS & UTM Map: Pafta

Pafta is an offline outdoor GPS with topo maps and tactical MGRS/UTM coordinates. It works in the field without internet: hiking, mountaineering, hunting, off-road, search and rescue, forestry, field surveys, military training and land navigation — anywhere you need to know exactly where you are, even deep in the backcountry.

OFFLINE TOPO MAPS
• Download the area you need in advance; without signal the map, your GPS position, coordinates, track recording and navigation keep working.
• Add your own raster maps (MBTiles, PMTiles): scanned map sheets, satellite imagery.
• Hillshade relief and 30 m elevation from the Copernicus DEM, with elevation profiles for tracks and routes.

MGRS, UTM AND OTHER COORDINATES
• MGRS, UTM, degrees (decimal / degrees-minutes-seconds), USNG, BNG, Plus Code, QTH, GARS, GEOREF.
• Datum conversions including ED50 and CK-42; type a coordinate in any format and it is recognised.
• MGRS/UTM or latitude/longitude grid on the map, with values at the edges.

WAYPOINTS, TRACKS AND ROUTES
• Add waypoints by long-press, at the crosshair, by typing coordinates or from your position.
• Attach photos, videos and voice notes; organise with folders and custom fields.
• The GPS track recorder keeps running with the screen locked: distance, time, ascent and elevation profile.
• Draw routes and navigate to targets, with vibration and a notification when you go off route.
• Measure distances and areas: circles, rectangles and polygons.

FIELD TOOLS
• Compass with true, magnetic and grid north, magnetic declination and grid convergence.
• Scaled PDF maps: A4/A3, 1:10,000 to 1:250,000, grid, scale bar, north arrow — measurable with a ruler on paper.
• Sun and moon times with a sunset warning; weather forecast (needs internet).
• SOS: send your position in several coordinate formats by SMS or any messenger.
• Import, view and export GPX, KML, KMZ, GeoJSON and Shapefile, plus CSV export; open files from other apps.

PRIVACY
No account needed. Your location, waypoints, tracks and recordings are stored on your device and never sent to us. Usage statistics and crash reports are collected to improve the app; they never contain your GPS position, names or file names.

Note: Pafta is a navigation aid. In the field, carry a paper map, a compass and backup power.
