I really wanted to like this app but for some reason it seems to glitch out when I'm taking a new route? Not when I've taken a wrong turn and it has to reroute, but giving me inaccurate and late turning directions whenever I'm going somewhere I haven't been before. Sometimes it seems like it just automatically gives me directions from previous trips where I've been on the same roads and then switches to the correct directions at the last minute. I don't know if this is just me or what.

Hi Olivia, I hear you. If you're getting late audio turning directions, doing a clear cache and reset on your voice settings might help. Here's how to do them: https://tinyurl.com/mujjrxw7. For the routing issue, please fill out this form: https://tinyurl.com/mrx77ukz with relevant details to open a support ticket.

I've been a Waze user for years and it's definitely the best mapping software for driving, but that doesn't make it perfect. The voice commands for reporting aren't great and only provide limited capability. The responses are annoying and make you only want to turn them off completely (which is why I have all notifications muted). Good app, but not perfect.

Switched to Waze from Google Maps for about 4 months until I finally confirmed that Waze is far more inferior. It doesn't have the capacity for reliable road updates. Had to drive an extra 25 kilometers because Waze did not register that there are multiple road closures in a given route. And With gas prices staying high, not driving those extra kms are crucial for saving gas. only upside I can see is that you get customization options for the voice guide, which, even that, needs some work.

Hi there. Road closures appear after multiple reports. If a closure is missing, report it in the app: https://tinyurl.com/pd7su7dx. Also, Waze calculates routes based on the fastest travel time, which isn't always the shortest distance. View alternates: https://tinyurl.com/3nhbkbym.
