iShredder™ – secure data eraser and file shredder for Android

Securely delete the ones you do not. iShredder by Protectstar helps you erase selected photos, videos, documents and folders, and overwrite unused storage to reduce accessible traces of previously deleted files. CHOOSE EXACTLY WHAT TO ERASE
Use the built-in file explorer to select private photos, downloaded PDFs, scanned documents and folders. Remove sensitive files without choosing to reset your whole phone. Check each file's location and keep a backup of anything you still need. Internal storage and supported SD cards are available within your device's access permissions.

ALREADY DELETED SENSITIVE FILES?
An unused-space wipe addresses available storage rather than files still in your folders. It writes temporary data to that space to help reduce accessible remnants of earlier files. During the operation, available space decreases and the phone may show a storage warning. Temporary wipe files are removed on normal completion. This is part of the overwrite process, not a way to increase storage capacity. If a task is interrupted, check its status and cleanup before continuing.

SELECT AN ERASURE METHOD
Choose from the methods included in your edition, with single-pass and multi-pass options and methods such as DoD 5220.22-M. Match the method to your storage and task rather than simply choosing the highest pass count. Processing time depends on the amount of data and the selected method.

APP SECURITY AND RECOGNITION
DEKRA MASA L1 validation covered iShredder Android 7.2.3 in March 2026, based on selected OWASP MASVS app-security requirements. Separately, iShredder received the Fortress Cybersecurity Award 2025. The validation concerns the tested app's security, not a guarantee of every data-erasure outcome.

ERASURE REPORTS FOR YOUR RECORDS
Use the reporting options in your edition to document completed operations. Keep records for device returns, internal reviews or a personal handover checklist. A report describes the selected process; it does not prove that copies on other devices or in cloud backups have also been deleted.

ANDROID STORAGE AND PRIVACY
Access depends on Android, permissions, device and edition. Encryption and flash storage affect results; app-level overwriting cannot guarantee access to every physical memory cell. Manage cloud backups separately. Before handing over a whole phone, also follow the manufacturer's account-removal and factory-reset instructions.
