Totem is an animated digital watch face for anyone who has ever woken up and wondered, for a second, whether they were really awake.

• It's alive. The top rocks gently about its point as it spins, and over every minute the wobble grows, wider and wider, until it looks about to topple... and then the minute turns, and it is steady again. It never falls. Or does it?
• Drawn after the film's final shot: a dark steel top with a tall spike, a thin disc with a bright silver rim and a short rounded point, on a quiet, out-of-focus table.
• A large, clean clock in 12 or 24 hours as your watch is set, with the date spaced wide beneath it, like a title card.

• Today's steps, your heart rate and your battery level
• A step goal ring around the edge, filling up as you walk

Make it yours: press and hold the watch face, tap Customize, and switch the step goal ring off - or back on.

In always-on mode the table goes dark and only the clock stays lit, dimmed and gently shifting position to protect your screen.
