Ice Watch Face: Skater Edge

Picture the mark a figure skater leaves after one long, clean edge: a single groove cut into fresh ice. This ice skating watch face turns that line into the dial.

Dial — Frosted ice with fine scratches in pale blue and white. One continuous skate-blade groove curves from seven o'clock all the way round to five, cut deeper where it passes one and two.

Numerals — Twelve light italic numerals in deep navy sit just outside the groove. A small lilac dot marks the top above the 12.

Hands — Slender, pointed hour and minute hands with a polished silver edge and a deep blue inlay on a silver hub. The second hand is a fine lilac needle with a small lilac bead near the centre.

Colours — Ice white, frost blue, navy and a soft lilac.

Always-on — The ice turns black. The numerals and the blade groove stay as dim ice-blue lines, the lilac dot remains, the second hand rests and the silver-edged hands still show the time.
